PT6A BLEED AIR PROBLEM

Note 1: the fuel flow increased by +15 pph and the ITT by +35°C. This change happened simultaneously with a compressor recovery wash.

We immediately contacted the operator and recommended the following:
· Before next flight perform a power assurance check to verify that the engine produces sufficient power required for takeoff.

We then recommended the following to be done ASAP:
· With reconsideration to the compressor recovery wash, please check that the P3 bleed air hose is connected, and that there is no bleed air leaks from the hoses and tubing´s.
· That the P3 filter cup is tight.
· That the compressor bleed valves are closing at the correct settings and stays completely closed during high power.

The operator found that that the P3 bleed air hose for this engine had not been reconnected after the compressor recovery wash was carried out.

Note 2: The P3 bleed air hose was reconnected subsequently all parameters returned to baseline values.
