Note 1:
The Ng peaks most likely is misrecording on the Ng´s
on these flights.
Note 2: An ITT step change of 15-20°C,
since the ITT is the only effected parameter this looks
like an ITT indication problem.
Recommendation:
We recommend that the ITT system is troubleshooted at
next convenient time, in the following order:
| 1. |
Check the T1 trimstick resistance,
ref. Values from the dataplate or last overhaul
records. |
| 2. |
Check and calibrate as necessary
the ITT system resistance from the cockpit for 8Ω
± 0.05 and perform insulation check. |
| 3. |
Check and calibrate if necessary
the cockpit indicator for correct indication. |
If none of the above checks reveals any errors continue
with the following:
| 1. |
Split the engine at the C-flange
and check the T5 probes for heat response, and burned
probes. |
| 2. |
Check the bus bar insulation. |
For the above checks use the Beechcraft King Air 200 Maintenance
Manual and P&WC PT6A-42 Maintenance Manual for reference.
