Note 1:
The crew has reported performance problems with this engine.
The same night the line mechanic made a FDAU drain and
emailed us the data. With a step change on all four parameters,
this looked like a cool section problem. We recommended
that the function on the bleed valves was troubleshooted.
Note 2: The intercompressor bleed valve
was found faulty and replaced the next night.
After all parameters returned to baseline values, safe
operation of the engine could resume.
This example illustrates that close teamwork between the
operator and DETA, effectively reduced the troubleshooting
time, and by that saving costly downtime for the operator.
